Corn closed the Thursday session with 2 1/4 to 3 1/2 cent gains, adding to Wednesday’s corrective move. USDA reported 1.371 MMT of corn sold on the week ending 11/26. That was in line with pre report estimates and 251% above the same week last year. The top purchasing nation was Mexico followed by unknown with 656,900 and 351,400 MT respectively. Shipments from the weekly update were +1 MMT for the first time this MY season and pushed the MYTD total to 10.373 MMT. Milo export sales were reported at 238,609 MT. That was down from 355k LW but well above the 19k LY. Accumulated sorghum shipments are 1.275 MMT, which is the largest for the first 13 weeks of the MY since 14/15. The November production forecast from StatsCan has 2020 Canadian corn output at 13.563 MMT. That is up 1.2% yr/yr.
